Joyful Christianity

I've been really surprised that my chapter on joy in A Taste of Jesus has gotten the most comments. Apparently we have widespread difficulty in making this a part of the Christian faith. Today I shared some thoughts on this topic with a group at the Grande Villa Retirement Home.

Usually when you go to church you expect things to be somber and serious, but the second fruit of the Spirit Paul lists is joy! Now there's something we don't often think of when we think about Christianity. Jamin calls us to recognize this problem and embrace joy.
